Patrol Boat

The Fraser River Port Authority maintains a presence on the river and regularly patrols the waters within its jurisdiction. The patrol staff may be contacted through the main reception at the Port Authority's office, see contact us for details.

  • mast is lowered hydraulically and is electrically actuated by remote station

Interior Elements

  • interior materials are low flame spread type providing optimal sound and thermal insulation; paneling is fire retardant laminate
  • vessel configuration has wheelhouse forward, day accommodation aft; one complete steering station is in the wheelhouse with another steering station aft
  • computer work station is positioned in the aft port corner of the wheelhouse with fixed chart area on the starboard aft area
  • wheelhouse seating includes "captain" style chairs for the master and mate
  • main cabin provides individual seating for 10 people; three fold-down work tables are provided in the accommodation area
  • galley includes hot and cold pressure water, stainless steel sink, microwave, fridge and electric coffee pot
  • the marine head has an electric toilet with a holding tank

Computer Package

  • Hydrographic survey capability has been provided using the latest version of Trimbles "Hydro" software system incorporating navigation, data collection, data editing and various post processing options. It is designed to bring the power and convenience of today's modern personal computer to hydrographic surveying.
  • Positioning of the vessel during survey operations is provided by a Differential Global Positioning System. This system uses satellite and beacon receivers to give positional accuracies of approximately three metres.
