Recent Notices
August 2, 2007:
The Federal Government has announced amendments to the TLS Truck License agreement, which
affects all container trucks accessing port container terminals in the Lower Mainland. The full text of the regulatory change is available
at http://www.portvancouver.com/trade_shipping/trucking/trucking.html. The revised TLS
license is available on-line at the Pacific Gateway Portal.

Flood Information: Notice of Navigation Restrictions & Closures on the Lower Fraser River
All river users are advised to review and abide by restrictions and closures, which will be enforced, based on rising water
levels of the Lower Fraser River.

The Board of Directors of the Fraser
River Port Authority is pleased to announce that the Annual Public Meeting will

NOTICE: Annieville Rock Wall Modifications
Fraser River Port Authority (FRPA) has received approval to remove 200’ of rock from the
Annieville Rock Wall adjacent to Timberland Basin in the South Arm of the Fraser River.

NOTICE : Dredging in Effect
Fraser River Port Authority would like to give notice that dredging of the Fraser River will be occurring at a
location downriver from the Skytrain Bridge on the Surrey side.

NOTICE : Adoption of Port Operations Manual
In accordance with Section 57 of the Canada Marine Act, this is notification that the Fraser River Port Authority has adopted
its revised Practices and Procedures, effective January 15, 2007.

Notice of New Fees

Marine Act, this is notification that the Fraser River Port Authority is implementing
new wharfage and berthage fees that will take effect on January 1, 2007.

Notice of Intent
This is notification that on April 6, 2006 the Fraser River Port Authority
intends to apply to Environment Canada for a Disposal at Sea permit under the
Canadian Environmental Protection Act.
January 24, 2006:
NOTICE : Truck license requirements in effect for additional 90 days
Effective January 20, a new Order-in-Council
(OIC) requires Lower Mainland port truck licenses comply with the (Vince Ready)
Memorandum of Agreement.

New studies show that economy and flood protection at risk if dredging
stops
Two recent studies show that thousands of jobs, flood protection, and BC’s
future Pacific Gateway cargo trade targets with Asia (6 million TEUs by 2020)
would all be at risk if the Port Authority’s self-funded dredging program on the
Fraser River were to end due to rising costs.

Container Truckers can enter Fraser Surrey Docks with same licenses issued by Vancouver Port Authority Fraser River Port Authority is reminding all container truckers that they can use the same Container Truckers License issued by the Vancouver Port Authority to
