December 28, 2005: The term of one User Director of the Fraser River Port Authority will expire on June 12, 2006. In accordance with Section 14 of the Canada Marine Act (CMA), the Port Users’ Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the position of Director for the period of June 13, 2006 to June 12, 2009.
Section 16 of the CMA provides details about those individuals who may not be directors. Specifically, individuals who are a director, officer, or employee of a person who is a user of the port are precluded from appointment.
Nominations will be accepted until noon on January 27, 2006.
