|
December 15, 2006:
In accordance with Section 57 of the Canada Marine Act, this is notification that the Fraser River Port Authority is reissuing its Practices and Procedures, which will take effect on January 15, 2007.
The Fraser River Port Authority’s Practices and Procedures (revised July 01, 2004) is being reissued as the Port Operations Manual: Practices and Procedures for Fraser River Port. The practices and procedures contained in the previous version were rewritten for the purposes of the new Manual. Some practices, for example, those for log loading, bridge transits, and ballast water discharges, have also undergone extensive revision.
The Port Operations Manual replaces the Practices and Procedures effective January 15, 2007.
The practices and procedures contained within the Manual continue to reflect local operating conditions. They apply to all vessels operating within Port boundaries (as defined in Schedule A of the Fraser River Port Authority’s Letters Patent), as well as to all tenants and users of port facilities.
The Manual may be obtained from the Port Authority upon request. Stakeholders interested in making written representations to the Port Authority on the subject of the new Manual, may do so prior to January 15, 2007, by writing to:
