| Fraser River Port Announces $250,000 Millennium Fund |

September 27, 1999: The Board of Directors of the Fraser River Port Authority are pleased to announce the creation of a $250,000 Fraser River Port Millennium Fund to be disbursed as grants in support of Fraser River community projects over the next three to five years.
In 1998, the Minister of Transport sought suggestions from Ports in Canada for ways to mark the coming millennium. The funds set aside by the Fraser River Harbour Commission now constitute the Fraser River Port Millennium Fund. Information about eligibility criteria and application procedures will be announced shortly by the awards advisory committee.
The Board has invited the following community leaders to serve on the committee: Jack Buchan, maritime lawyer and partner in Cohen Buchan Edwards; Russ Cooper, general manager, Westminster Tug Boats; Bob Fairweather, senior vice-president Corporate Planning Associates; Johnny Fong, president, International Sources Ltd.; Rita Fu, philanthropist; Dr. Joseph Hui, president, Wall Street International Commerce Ltd.; Jas Sandhu, president, Asia Pacific Export Co-ordinator Inc.; Allan Skidmore, vice-chairman and president, TCG International; and Peeter Wesik, managing director, Fraser Surrey Docks Ltd.
