| Fraser River Port Authority Board elects key positions |

April 19, 2005: At a regular meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fraser River Port Authority held on April 13, 2005, Malkiat Dhami was re-elected Chair and Kim Husband was elected Vice-Chair for one-year terms effective May 1, 2005.
Mr. Dhami is a real estate agent with Regent Park Realty Inc., and has been a member of the Port’s Board of Directors since 2002. This will be his second consecutive year serving as Chair.
Mr. Husband is a retired BC Provincial Court judge, and has been a Board Member since 2001. He was re-appointed for a second three-year term in 2004. Mr. Husband has served as both Chair and Vice-Chair during much of his time with the Board.
The Fraser River Port Authority has a mandate to facilitate and support trade and port-related activities on the main arm of the Fraser River. The Port encompasses 270 kilometers of shoreline along the Fraser River from Langley to the Strait of Georgia. It contributes $2.3 billion to Canada’s Gross Domestic Product, generates over $236 million in revenues to all levels of government through taxes and fees, and provides over 12,400 direct jobs.
