Fraser River Port Welcomes CSAV'S CENPAC Service

March 20, 2000 : With today’s arrival of the M.V. Merkur River at Fraser River Port, south of Vancouver, B.C., Chilean carrier CSAV (Compania Sud Americana de Vapores) launched it’s new "CENPAC" liner service from the Far East to Canada with southbound connections to Central and South America.

CENPAC's fortnightly service rotation includes: Yokohama and Nagoya, Japan; Keelung, Taiwan; Hong Kong; Busan, South Korea; Fraser River Port; Manzanillo, Mexico; Puerto Quetzal,Guatemala; Balboa, Panama; San Antonio, Chile; Antofagasta, Chile; Callao Peru, and Guayaquil, Ecuador. The service then returns to Los Angeles/Long Beach before heading for the Far East.

From Fraser River Port’s general cargo terminal, Fraser Surrey Docks, CN Rail will be the designated rail carrier for Eastern Canada and inland destinations.
