January 25, 2002: The terms of two User Directors of the Fraser River Port Authority expire on April 30, 2002. In accordance with Section 14 of the Canada Marine Act (CMA), the Port Users’ Nominating Committee is now accepting nominations for the positions of Director for the period of May 1, 2002 to April 30, 2005.

Section 16 of the CMA provides details about those individuals who may not be directors. Specifically, individuals who are a director, officer, or employee of a person who is a user of the port are precluded from appointment.

Nominations will be accepted until noon on February 11, 2002.
