New Chair and Vice Chair at Fraser River Port

January 22, 2004: At a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Fraser River Port Authority held on January 9, 2004, Mr. Kim Husband was elected Board Chair. Ms. Juliana Yung was elected Vice Chair at a subsequent Board meeting, held January 21, 2004.

Mr. Husband, previously Vice Chair, has been with the Board since 2001. He is a retired Provincial Court judge who sat on the Bench from 1978 to 2001, prior to which he was a practicing lawyer in New Westminster.

Ms. Yung has extensive experience in banking and financial administration as Senior Manager at the Gulf & Fraser Fisherman’s Credit Union, where she has worked for over 20 years.

The Fraser River Port Authority is responsible for facilitating and supporting trade and port-related activities on the main arm of the Fraser River. More than 30 million tonnes of cargo move through the Port’s terminals each year, creating more than 10,700 local jobs.
