Amended Harbour Dues

In accordance with Section 51 of the Canada Marine Act, this is notification that the Fraser River Port Authority intends to amend its harbour dues. The amended harbour dues take effect on May 1, 2003.

Harbour dues will be payable to the Fraser River Port Authority at the following rates:

  1. where the vessel has a gross registered tonnage of more than ten tons, four cents per ton on the gross registered tonnage with a minimum charge of ten dollars per calendar year;
  2. where the vessel has a gross registered tonnage of ten tons or less, ten dollars per calendar year; and
  3. where the vessel has no registered tonnage or where the registered tonnage of the vessel is not available, four cents per ton on the gross tonnage as determined by the Vice President, Operations with a minimum charge of ten dollars per calendar year.

Where a vessel has two gross registered tons, the larger tonnage shall be used for the purpose of determining the harbour dues.

The harbour dues referred to above are payable only in respect of each of the first ten times a vessel enters or uses the Harbour in each calendar year and are payable to the Fraser River Port Authority at its office in New Westminster when the vessel enters or uses the Harbour.
