Fraser River Port Authority Jurisdiction
The Port Authority's jurisdiction extends along the first 60 kilometres of
the Fraser River, encompassing 270 kilometres of shoreline. Fraser River Port
includes all navigable water within the harbour boundaries, as well as certain
upland sites, foreshore, and waterlots within the Fraser River Port Authority's
jurisdiction.
The Port borders nine municipalities along its shores:
Land administered by the Port Authority on behalf of the federal government
accounts for only four per cent of the total waterfront within its jurisdiction.
