Projects
The Fraser River Port Authority continually works to grow the infrastructure
at its properties - developing its existing lands and occasionally acquiring
new lands to accommodate future growth.
Surrey Properties
In March 2004, following a record year for container handling, the Fraser River
Port Authority announced it had entered into a
strategic alliance with Fraser Surrey Docks Ltd. and IDC Distribution Services
Ltd. in a $190 million phased upgrade of Fraser Surrey Docks and the creation
of an adjacent intermodal yard. The site improvements were aimed at boosting capacity
to 415,000 TEUs (20-foot equivalent units) and improving site efficiency.

Richmond Properties
The Port Authority continues to develop its Richmond Properties and is currently
negotiating with potential tenants. Watch for announcements as these negotiations
progress!
